At 2.54 CTS, this Natural Nigerian Emerald is defined first by a significant GUILD finding: the report records “No indication of clarity enhancement.” In a Natural Emerald of this scale, that conclusion materially distinguishes the stone from routinely clarity-enhanced material and deserves to lead its presentation. GUILD records the colour simply as Green, while the supplied photographs show a bright, cool face-up expression with noticeable light movement across the softly squared cushion outline. The crystal body appears relatively open in the imagery, with natural internal features visible without assigning an unsupported clarity grade.

Origin is identified as Nigeria, placing this Emerald within a highly regarded and increasingly recognised source for fine green beryl. Nigerian Emeralds are known for their vivid green saturation and lively internal character, and this stone reflects that identity through its balanced yet expressive visual behaviour.

Rather than using the linear architecture of an emerald cut, this stone is fashioned as a Cushion with Modified Brilliant faceting. Smaller angular facets around the perimeter produce lively flashes, while the broader central area appears calmer and more open in its light return. This contrast gives the stone a distinct visual rhythm: brighter activity around the edge framing a quieter central field. The 8.50 × 7.59 mm face-up outline is balanced and gently rectangular, while the 6.44 mm depth gives the stone substantial physical volume beneath the table.

Its combination of 2.54-carat scale, Nigerian origin, natural Emerald identity, cushion geometry and GUILD no-clarity-enhancement finding makes it a serious centre-stone candidate for bespoke fine or high jewellery. A structured solitaire, protective diamond halo, three-stone composition or refined pendant could all be considered, with setting design developed around the stone’s depth and the normal care requirements of Emerald. It may be acquired loose or used as the foundation of an individually engineered SARATTI commission.

Characteristics
  • No clarity enhancement finding: GUILD records “No indication of clarity enhancement,” making the treatment profile one of the defining characteristics of this Emerald.
  • Nigerian origin: Origin is identified as Nigeria, a respected source for fine green beryl with strong saturation and character.
  • Independent laboratory identification: GUILD identifies the material as Natural Beryl with the variety Natural Emerald.
  • Natural green colour: The laboratory records the colour grade as Green, while the supplied photographs show a bright, cool face-up presentation.
  • 2.54 CTS weight: The gemstone offers substantial centre-stone presence while remaining proportioned for considered fine-jewellery applications.
  • Cushion shape: Its softly squared outline combines rounded corners with balanced dimensions of 8.50 × 7.59 mm.
  • Modified Brilliant cut: Angular brilliant-style faceting creates active reflections around the perimeter rather than the linear steps associated with a traditional Emerald Cut.
  • Measured proportions: At 8.50 × 7.59 × 6.44 mm, the stone carries meaningful depth beneath its face-up cushion outline.
  • Natural internal character: Internal characteristics can be observed in the supplied imagery without assigning an unsupported clarity grade.
  • High-jewellery direction: Its cushion proportions and certified enhancement finding make it suitable for a carefully engineered solitaire, halo, three-stone ring or pendant.
  • Considered Emerald care: Emerald ranks 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale but commonly contains fissures, so protective setting design and gentle handling are recommended.
  • Cleaning guidance: Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaning; gentle cleaning with warm, soapy water is preferred.
  • Independent certification: Accompanied by a GUILD Gemological Report, with the SARATTI certificate to be completed once its SARATTI report number is assigned.

HANDCRAFTED

The garden inside
decides how we hold it.

Every emerald carries fractures, and they decide where a claw can sit. So the setting is drawn around this stone's own map, and set cold. A ring for occasions, a pendant framed in diamonds, earrings matched over months.

Before you decide

Questions worth asking.

Is this the exact gemstone I will receive — and can I see more of it?

Yes. The gemstone shown on this page is the individual stone you are considering — not a representative image from a parcel.

We photograph and film the actual stone and do everything possible to show its color, proportions and character faithfully. Even so, gemstones can respond differently to daylight, warm interior light and different screens.

If you are uncertain, we can provide additional photographs or video and, where useful, reshoot the stone under different lighting or from another angle before you decide.

Can I confirm the gemstone is still available before I proceed?

Of course.

Send us the product link or reference and our concierge can confirm availability before you proceed.

For an important purchase, we would rather confirm first than have you make a decision around a stone that has already been spoken for.

How do I know which setting will suit this gemstone?

The builder presents settings intended to work with the gemstone you have selected.

Before production begins, the pairing is reviewed for proportion, security and suitability.

If we believe another setting, proportion or approach would serve the stone better, we will tell you before anything is made. The setting should serve the gemstone — not simply accommodate it.

What happens after I choose my gemstone and setting?

We confirm the important details with you before production begins.

That includes your gemstone, setting, metal, side stones where relevant, size, engraving and any personal details.

Nothing enters production until the final specification has been reviewed and approved.

Will I see the finished piece before it is sent?

Yes.

Once your piece is complete, it is photographed and filmed with your gemstone set into it.

Those images are sent to you before dispatch, so you can see the finished jewel before it leaves SARATTI.

How long will my piece take?

Made-to-order pieces generally require around three to four weeks from final approval to completion.

A loose gemstone purchased on its own can usually be prepared for dispatch much sooner.

If you are working towards a proposal, anniversary, birthday or travel date, tell us before ordering. We will let you know what is realistically possible rather than promise a date we cannot honour.

How will my order be delivered?

Your order is sent by insured courier with tracking and appropriate delivery security.

The route and carrier depend on destination and value.

Where duties or local taxes may apply, our concierge can explain the available delivery options before dispatch.

Can I return a loose gemstone?

A loose gemstone may be returned within fourteen days of delivery provided it remains unworn, unset and unaltered, with its packaging and documentation intact.

Please contact us before sending anything back so the return can be arranged securely.

What happens once the gemstone has been set?

A jewel created around your selected gemstone is made specifically for you.

Once the final specification has been approved and production has begun, the gemstone and materials are committed to your piece.

That is why we take time to confirm the details with you before making begins.

What if I am still unsure?

Then do not rush the decision.

We can help you compare this gemstone with another, look again at color or proportion, send additional imagery, discuss a setting or simply talk through what matters most to you.

The right stone should feel considered — not hurried.

What happens after I receive my piece?

Our relationship does not end at delivery.

SARATTI provides ongoing care for the jewelry we create, including inspection, cleaning and appropriate maintenance support as the piece is worn over time.

If anything ever concerns you, speak with us before attempting repair or alteration elsewhere.
