This 5.01 CTS Natural Nigerian Emerald brings together three factors of particular importance: substantial five-carat scale, GUILD’s Intense Green colour designation and the laboratory conclusion “Indication of insignificant clarity enhancement.” The latter records only an insignificant degree of clarity enhancement—an exceptionally limited enhancement profile that materially elevates the standing of this Emerald without implying that it is untreated or free from enhancement. Across the supplied photographs, the face-up colour presents with strong saturation and a bright green presence, with more concentrated flashes developing around the outer facets. GUILD’s Intense Green designation remains the authoritative colour terminology for the stone.

The Cushion outline measures 10.94 × 9.10 mm, giving it a softly rectangular rather than square face-up profile. GUILD records a Modified Brilliant cut, with angular facets directing stronger reflections around the perimeter while the broader central field presents a quieter passage of light. A visible network of natural internal characteristics can be seen through the body, particularly across the centre, giving the crystal structure distinct natural character without assigning an unsupported clarity grade. The 7.19 mm depth gives the stone substantial physical volume beneath its broad face-up outline and will be an important consideration when designing the eventual setting.

At 5.01 CTS, this is an important natural Emerald with the scale to anchor a serious high-jewellery commission. The combination of Intense Green colour, significant dimensions and an insignificant clarity-enhancement finding separates it meaningfully from more routinely enhanced Emerald inventory. Its proportions lend themselves to a carefully engineered solitaire, diamond-framed composition, three-stone ring or substantial pendant. It may equally be acquired as a collector-level loose gemstone, preserving the option for a future individually developed SARATTI commission.

Characteristics
  • Indication of insignificant clarity enhancement — GUILD: The laboratory records only an insignificant degree of clarity enhancement, representing an exceptionally limited enhancement profile for this Natural Emerald.
  • Independent GUILD identification: GUILD identifies the material as Natural Beryl, variety Natural Emerald.
  • Intense Green — GUILD: The laboratory assigns the verified colour grade Intense Green, giving the stone a formally documented colour distinction.
  • 5.01 CTS weight: A substantial Natural Emerald with the physical scale expected of an important centre stone.
  • Nigerian origin: Nigeria is supplied as the approved individual-stone origin information; the attached GUILD report does not itself state geographic origin.
  • Natural crystal character: A visible network of internal characteristics can be observed through the broad central field without assigning an unsupported clarity grade.
  • Cushion shape: A softly rectangular Cushion outline measuring 10.94 × 9.10 mm face-up.
  • Modified Brilliant cut: Angular brilliant-style faceting creates active flashes around the perimeter rather than the linear reflections associated with an Emerald Cut.
  • Substantial proportions: Exact measurements of 10.94 × 9.10 × 7.19 mm provide both broad face-up presence and meaningful physical depth.
  • Collector-level relevance: Its size, GUILD Intense Green designation and exceptionally limited enhancement profile give this stone significance beyond routine commercial Emerald inventory.
  • High-jewellery potential: Suitable for an individually engineered solitaire, diamond surround, three-stone composition or substantial pendant.
  • Considered setting: Emerald ranks 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale but commonly contains fissures, so protective setting design and careful handling remain important.
  • Care: Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaning. Gentle cleaning with warm, soapy water is recommended.
  • Independent certification: Accompanied by a GUILD Gemological Report. A SARATTI Gemstone Identification Report should be added once its SARATTI report number has been assigned.

MAY BIRTHSTONE

Emerald is the traditional birthstone for May and is also associated with the 20th and 35th wedding anniversaries. Its long history in fine jewellery makes it particularly relevant to significant milestone jewels and individually commissioned heirloom designs.

DESIGN INVITATION

The elongated Cushion outline provides a substantial but balanced foundation for a bespoke centre-stone jewel. Platinum or white gold would give the Intense Green colour a crisp visual frame, while yellow gold could introduce a warmer contrast.

For a ring, a carefully engineered solitaire could preserve maximum visibility of the 10.94 × 9.10 mm face-up outline, while a restrained diamond surround or three-stone composition could emphasise its scale. Because the gemstone measures 7.19 mm deep, basket height, support and protective positioning should be considered from the beginning of the design rather than adapted afterwards.

Its five-carat scale also makes it a compelling candidate for a significant pendant. The Emerald may be acquired loose or developed through SARATTI’s bespoke service into a setting designed specifically around its dimensions, depth and natural crystal character.

Your gemstone is set into the design you choose. Every pairing is reviewed by a specialist before production begins.

Natural emerald ring set cold, the setting drawn around the gemstone's own fractures | SARATTI Green emerald hand-set in fine jewellery, claws placed clear of internal fractures | SARATTI

HANDCRAFTED

The garden inside
decides how we hold it.

Every emerald carries fractures, and they decide where a claw can sit. So the setting is drawn around this stone's own map, and set cold. A ring for occasions, a pendant framed in diamonds, earrings matched over months.

Size Guide

Use the SARATTI size guide to choose the right fit for your ring, bracelet, necklace, or made-to-order piece.

Before you decide

Questions worth asking.

Is this the exact gemstone I will receive — and can I see more of it?

Yes. The gemstone shown on this page is the individual stone you are considering — not a representative image from a parcel.

We photograph and film the actual stone and do everything possible to show its color, proportions and character faithfully. Even so, gemstones can respond differently to daylight, warm interior light and different screens.

If you are uncertain, we can provide additional photographs or video and, where useful, reshoot the stone under different lighting or from another angle before you decide.

Can I confirm the gemstone is still available before I proceed?

Of course.

Send us the product link or reference and our concierge can confirm availability before you proceed.

For an important purchase, we would rather confirm first than have you make a decision around a stone that has already been spoken for.

How do I know which setting will suit this gemstone?

The builder presents settings intended to work with the gemstone you have selected.

Before production begins, the pairing is reviewed for proportion, security and suitability.

If we believe another setting, proportion or approach would serve the stone better, we will tell you before anything is made. The setting should serve the gemstone — not simply accommodate it.

What happens after I choose my gemstone and setting?

We confirm the important details with you before production begins.

That includes your gemstone, setting, metal, side stones where relevant, size, engraving and any personal details.

Nothing enters production until the final specification has been reviewed and approved.

Will I see the finished piece before it is sent?

Yes.

Once your piece is complete, it is photographed and filmed with your gemstone set into it.

Those images are sent to you before dispatch, so you can see the finished jewel before it leaves SARATTI.

How long will my piece take?

Made-to-order pieces generally require around three to four weeks from final approval to completion.

A loose gemstone purchased on its own can usually be prepared for dispatch much sooner.

If you are working towards a proposal, anniversary, birthday or travel date, tell us before ordering. We will let you know what is realistically possible rather than promise a date we cannot honour.

How will my order be delivered?

Your order is sent by insured courier with tracking and appropriate delivery security.

The route and carrier depend on destination and value.

Where duties or local taxes may apply, our concierge can explain the available delivery options before dispatch.

Can I return a loose gemstone?

A loose gemstone may be returned within fourteen days of delivery provided it remains unworn, unset and unaltered, with its packaging and documentation intact.

Please contact us before sending anything back so the return can be arranged securely.

What happens once the gemstone has been set?

A jewel created around your selected gemstone is made specifically for you.

Once the final specification has been approved and production has begun, the gemstone and materials are committed to your piece.

That is why we take time to confirm the details with you before making begins.

What if I am still unsure?

Then do not rush the decision.

We can help you compare this gemstone with another, look again at color or proportion, send additional imagery, discuss a setting or simply talk through what matters most to you.

The right stone should feel considered — not hurried.

What happens after I receive my piece?

Our relationship does not end at delivery.

SARATTI provides ongoing care for the jewelry we create, including inspection, cleaning and appropriate maintenance support as the piece is worn over time.

If anything ever concerns you, speak with us before attempting repair or alteration elsewhere.
